Role Overview:
Are you a highly motivated critical thinker passionate about pediatric cancer care and critical care medicine? We're thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity for an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join the renowned MSK Kids Pediatric ICU team at Memorial Sloan Kettering (MSK). In this role you will collaborate with healthcare professionals in an acute care setting, including physicians and team members and deliver comprehensive care to Pediatric ICU patients, addressing both medical and psychosocial needs. MSK Kids is at the forefront of pediatric cancer care, dedicated to every child, young adult, and family battling childhood cancer. Key Qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited PA program
- NCCPA certification
- Active NYS license or be qualified for state licensure
- A minimum of 2 years of related experience is preferred
OR
- Current New York State (NYS) RN and NP licenses/registrations
- Pediatric Acute Care NP certification required
- Master's degree in nursing, prescriptive privileges (or eligibility)
- 1+ years of prior clinical experience in a PICU
Core skills:
- Collaboration : Work closely with physicians, healthcare team members, surgical, anesthesia, and medical staff to ensure seamless collaboration and optimize patient care.
- Comprehensive Care: Provide thorough and holistic care to pre-surgical testing patients, addressing their medical needs and ensuring they are prepared for surgery.
- Assessment Expertise: Conduct detailed history and physical assessments, gathering essential information to inform treatment plans and optimize patient outcomes.
Additional information:
Hours: 7 shifts per 4 week schedule, 12 hour shifts including days, nights, weekend, and holiday rotation
Location : 1275 York Avenue, New York NY
*This role is eligible for a prorated Critical Care Allowance of $8600.00 Annually
Pay Range: 144k-182k
